5 Easy way to Refresh your Interiors

There are many ways to makes a home instantly transform. I have an eye for detail, and I like to play interior designer (no professional qualification) for my home. I sometimes like the full quirky art look, the modern looks, clean spaces, and sometimes in an instant, I will fall in love with antique grandeur. In saying that my living room is entirely different theme to my hallway and my kitchen has a different look than my bedroom. So, if you are looking for some ideas on how to refresh your desired room at a cost-effective way quickly, then this post might be of use.

The Loving Room:

Bring in some in-door Plants: I love how green plants instantly boosts the living room. Currently, I have five plants in my living area, and each of them has a character of its own. I wouldn’t go and buy a huge one that takes up all of your space, be a judge according to your space and see what would look nice and how much sunlight they need and what size you would like. There are so many different types of indoor plants that suit every need.

The Bedroom:

  1. Change your Bed coverings: Throw in a Rug at the foot of the bed, a runner or add in a few more printed cushions these are all things that complement any bedroom. These are all things that change up the mood of the bedroom—making it give a more refreshed look and feel.

The Dining Room:

  • Add in a Centre Piece: Adding in one or two colourful Vase, some flower arrangements, Candleholders or even a living plant adds and refreshes the dining room.  Nature has its most beautiful decorations, and they are in-expensive. I have 3 Glass jars – One with pines that I collected, with white sand from my holiday. Second glass vase has a big coral I found on a beach. Lastly, I have a glass vase with white sand and lots of shells and beautiful rocks I had picked up from another holiday. These Center piece don’t have to be expensive or even cost anything to look great.

Entry Way Hang on the Wall: Hang a painting or some decorative nicknacks on the entryway table. I have an Antique Chinese entry table on top of which I have many picture frames, candles, figurines. On the wall, I have a large canvas painting of rainforest greens and a mask I had picked up from Japan. I know that’s a lot going on, but you can keep it simple

  1. by hanging a painting, mirror or a vase at the entryway and changing the overall look.

The Kitchen

  • Warm it Up: A kitchen can be brightened up with an area rug. For narrow spaces, a striped or a printed rug can add in a lot of colour and warmth. In larger kitchen area the rug can be placed under the island or in the middle.
